We have tested compatibility of PLEXTALK Products with Windows 7.

1. PTR1, PTR2, Pocket PTP1 and DR-1
All products were recognized by Windows 7 as a USB mass storage or CD drive, and Windows 7 reads/writes data on flash memory in each product properly.

2. PLEXTALK Recording Software (PRS) and PRS Pro
We confirmed that all functions work properly with the following limitations:

1) Recording and playback volume that is set from PRS/PRSPro are not set on the Windows 7 correctly.
Even if you select the Input volume, the Wave out volume, the Play volume mute, and the Selection of the recording volume, but the results are not set on the Windows 7 correctly.
As the result of this limitation, following symptoms are confirmed.
[1] When you adjust the Input volume, the Wave out volume is adjusted together.
[2] You can not adjust the input volume.
[3] When making mute of the Input volume, the Wave out volume also become muted.

When you want to adjust the recording or the playback volume, please use sound volume setting from Control Panel of Windows 7. If you are using USB sound device which has volume control function, you can also change sound volume on that volume control of that USB sound device.

2) When selecting multiple files in the Audio import or the Text import function, file names may not be displayed properly.
When you select multiple files (about 50 files or more) in the Audio import or the Text import function, file names may not be displayed on the Edit Box window of the file selection dialog.
Even if file names are not displayed, your selection of those multiple files is valid. When you proceed to the next step, you can finish the importing process properly.
This limitation is not available on DAISY import function. And if you select only one file, this limitation is not applied.

3) You can not select multiple sections or phrases by a computer mouse.
If you want to select multiple sections or phrases, please use either upper or lower arrow key with pressing the Shift key on your keyboard.

4) On the phrase list, pressing the left arrow key during playback does not go back to the beginning of the phrase.
When it is done during pause, you can go back to the beginning.
In addition, when you left-click a phrase by your computer mouse, you can also go back to the beginning.

5) Recording setting dialog may become bigger than the screen size.
Please set the Message Font Size to be "Smaller" or "Smallest" to adjust the size of the dialog box, while the font size of the other dialogs also become small.
