

Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic
RFB&D serves more than 250,000 students from kindergarten through graduate school and beyond who cannot read standard print due to a visual impairment, blindness, learning disability such as dyslexia, or other physical disability. Students rely on RFB&D to access the printed page and achieve educational success. RFB&D's collection comprises 56,000 digitally recorded textbooks and literature titles, is available through efficient internet downloads or on CD, and provides proven, effective learning tools for students with print disabilities.

Members of RFB&D can acquire user authorization key (UAK) which is needed to decrypt and play RFB&D books on PLEXTALK® Pocket. An UAK will be available if you purchase PLEXTALK¬ Pocket at RFB&D Please visit the online shop (https://custhub.rfbd.org/SearchPlaybackDevices.asp) or contact RFB&D for more details. If the system version of your PLEXTALK Pocket is 1.05 or earlier, please download and install the latest firmware, which has the compatibility with the playback of RFB&D® books. The firmware is available at the PLEXTALK® web site (http://www.plextalk.com/in/download.html#PTP1).
